The Electrical Motor Controls Program consists of three 10-week courses taken in sequence. Students can enroll in this first course, Intro to Basic Electricity and Motor Controls, without committing to the full program, but enrollment in the second and third courses, Intermediate Electrical Motor Controls and Electrical Motor Controls & Semiconductors, requires that the student complete the previous course in the program. Introduction to Basic Electricity and Motor Controls covers basic electrical and motor and motor theory and includes electricity and basic circuits, symbols and diagrams, test instruments, electrical safety, control logic, mechanical input control devices, solenoids, electromechanical relays, DC generators and AC generators.
