Rules & Regulations RatesEWSD believes that school facilities can and should serve as centers for educational, recreational, cultural, and other community events and gatherings provided there is a general understanding throughout communities that:
- School and school-sponsored activities will always be given priority for use of school buildings and grounds;
- School districts cannot subsidize the use of its facilities for events and activities not directly related to its primary educational mission.
This application is only in effect from July 1st to June 30th of each school year. We administer permits for use of the schools during non-school hours, including weekends and evenings. To arrange for space in EWSD schools please fill out form listed below. Usage fees vary according to the type of space, type of activity and the number of people in the group.
Applications must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the activity, but cannot be made more than one year in advance. Applicants will be notified whether or not the school can accommodate the request and what the fee will be. Applicants may be required to show proof of insurance depending on the participants and activities involved. Authorization for use of school facilities and grounds shall not be considered as endorsement of or approval of the activity, group or organization nor the purposes they represent.
