Travel north on route 128 out of the village toward Fairfax. Turn left onto route 104 at the junction just above the Village of Fairfax (next to J&L Hardware). Approximately 5 miles north, turn left onto route 104A. Travel approximately 5 miles until you reach the junction. Turn right onto route 7 traveling 1/2 mile north and getting on I-89 south. Travel approximately 9 miles to exit 17. At the junction of route 2, turn right at exit ramp light. Travel approximately 12 miles west through South Hero Village and Keeler`s Bay. Now you are headed north. Approximately 6 miles further up route 2, you will reach an intersection marking the center of Grand Isle. Just ahead will see the Grand Isle School on the right. Look for a white and red sign. Just beyond you will see the Hyde Log Cabin, another recognition landmark for the school.
